银膜超级透镜成像原理研究

摘    要:从Pendry的超级透镜成像理论出发,阐述了s光和p光入射情形的物像关系,推导了金属银膜作为超级透镜的条件,分析了消逝波和行波成分的成像特性,导出了近场条件下金属银膜超级透镜消逝波透射公式.利用Nicholas等报告的实验数据对其进行验证,得到透过率与横向波矢和银膜厚度的关系,并讨论了对于不同尺寸物体成像时的金属银膜厚度最佳值.研究结果表明,银膜超级透镜可以使成像质量大大改善.

Abstract:The relationship between the object and the images in the case of incident s-light and incident p-light is studied based on the imaging principle of Pendry's superlens.The conditions under which the silver film functions as a superlens are given.The imaging characteristics for both propagating waves and evanescent waves are analyzed.The transmission formula of a silver superlens is deduced for the case of evanescent waves in a near-field.The mechanism for regenerating evanescent waves from a silver superlens is explained.The transmission curves of lateral wave vectors against silver thickness were obtained using experimental data reported by Nicholas.The optimal values of silver thickness for different object sizes are discussed.The results show that a silver superlens can improve imaging quality greatly.This analysis will be helpful in the design of other experiments.
