Zuwachs,Dichte und mechanische Eigenschaften des Holzes von Kiefern aus Waldschadensgebieten

Wood quality of 70 healthy and diseased pine tress age 120–230 years from 4 locations has been tested. In severe damaged trees reduction of width of growth rings started 10–20 years ago but no influence on wood density is to determine. MOE and strength properties are on normal level and are independent from tree damage. Width of sapwood and its moisture content is slidely reduced but no heavy influence on development of discoloration and fungi attack during log storage is expected. Wood quality is not affected by tree damage.
