Abstract:A chelate fiber containing amidoxime group(AOCF) was prepared from polyacrylonitrile fiber by chemical modification and was exposed to silver nitrate treatment to produce complex AOCF-Ag(I) fiber which was separately reacted with Na_2S, Na_2S_2O_3 and thiourea to produce nano-silver sulfide/amidoxime composite fiber(nano-Ag_2S/AOCF).The effect of sulfide source on the nano-Ag_2S/AOCF production was discussed.The fiber was characterized by infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy.The antibacter...
