During well-logging data processing and interpretation, reading or writing tape and tape format conversion is a basic function of interpretation system that is one of the functions which is used frequenlly.Because the advanced program language and operation system don't provide applying program for the tape deliver in PC platform,so using applying program driving tape is difficult in PC plat-form.This paper presents in details the format file structure and how to read out and compile TAR format tape in PC platform,explains 3317 format tape structure and data structure and must consider existing question and processing method by exemplifying two different format conversion,when the output format of FORWARD system can not satisfy the user how to generate a lape.The tape generated by this method is compiled by the interpretation system and its format is completely correct.
