明清扬州船宴考述

明清时期，扬州经济发达，境内水域船宴流行。船宴的场所是游船，在明代称游湖船，清代称画舫。可以进行饮宴活动的是一些型制较大的画舫，大部分的画舫上都没有厨房，船宴由湖上专门制作饮食的沙飞船提供，也有由岸上酒家把食物送到船上。船宴的内容主要是酒、食、博弈、诗文、曲艺等。

Investigation into Yangzhou Boat Banquet in Ming and Qing Dynasties

In Ming and Qing Dynasties, boat banquets prevailed in local waters of Yangzhou which was well- developed in economy. Boat banquets are held on the yacht, named lake boat in Ming Dynasty and Huafang sightseeing boat in Qing Dynasty. Banquets used to be held on the boats big in size. Food was produced on Shafei Boat since there was no kitchen available on most of the Huafang sightseeing boats. At times food and drinks for boat banquet were reserved in advance in the on-land restaurants that shipped the food there in due time. Boat banquet features in wine, food, games, poetic prose and folk arts.
