垂直腔面发射激光器在无线激光通信中的应用研究

摘    要:在光纤通信中广泛应用的垂直腔面发射激光器,以其单模特性好、阈值电流低、调制速率高等特点备受人们青睐,而在无线激光通信中的应用鲜有报导。本文从垂直腔面发射激光器的结构特点出发,分析了它的技术优势及技术发展趋势,探讨了垂直腔面发射激光器可在无线激光通信中获得应用的原因。采用VCSEL垂直腔面发射激光器作为激光光源并与光纤通信中已经成熟的EDFA、波分复用等技术的结合,将提高无线激光通信系统的性能,降低系统成本。

Abstract:With its single mold characteristic,low threshold value of the electrical current and high modulation rate etc.,the Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser has been extensively applied in the Fiber Optical Communication,but its application in Wireless Laser Communication is fresh.In this paper,beginning with the structure characteristics of VCSEL,then analyzed its technical superiority and development tendency,discussed the reasons why it can be used in Wireless Laser Communication system.Combined with some advanced technologies which have already used in the Fiber Optical Communication such as EDFA,WDM etc.,its adoption as the laser source light in the Wireless Laser Communication system will enhance the performance and reduce the cost.
