The reboiler with euaporation space is mainly comprised of housing, U-shap ed tube bundle, tube box and saddle support. The strength of the reboiler housin g is calculated and the saddle support is designed. The calculation and design i nclude: establishing a mechanical model, calculation and checking of the axial s tress on housing midsection, calculation and checking of shearing stress and cir cumferential stress on saddle section, and structural design and stress checking of the saddle. The reboiler designed according to the above-mentioned procedur e has run well for 10 years, this proves the design method feasible.
