| Abstract: | The poisoning effect of carbon disulfide on a model nickel/silica catalyst and the regenerating role of both pure hydrogen and 2-butyne + hydrogen are reported. The treatments induce the elimination of sulfur and promote a recovery of the catalytic activity; irreversible adsorbed sulfur still remains on the catalyst. |
