How to Develop Students' Learning Autonomy in College English Study

Autonomous learning refers to the learners' responsibilities for their own study and positive attitudes to future learning.The paper focuses on how teachers will help learners enhance motivations of study and increase their self-confidence through the process of college English learning and proposes that the combination of cooperative learning and formative evaluation can help the non-English majors achieve language acquisition.Meanwhile,some problems that occur in the practice of learning strategies are discussed.
