| Abstract: | This paper is a review of the establishment and development of Shanghairare-earth industry since the sixties,especially of last ten years.The advan-ced rare earth separation method by solvent extraction and ion exchange tech-nique,rare earth metal metallurgy,both by electrolytic and metallothermicmethods,rare earth permanent magnet,and phosphors are introduced.Theapplication of rare earth in glass-ceramic industry is stated also.Finally,aprediction of Shanghai rare-earth industry in next ten years is discussed. |
