Review of Vehicle Operating System from Perspective of Safety

The vehicle operating system is a critical component for connecting and managing the software and hardware in the automobile electronic and electrical system.Currently,with the transformation of automotive electronics and electrical systems,vehicle operating systems will also undergo tremendous changes.However,no matter how it changes,vehicle safety is always the first attribute of a car.Based on the perspective of safety,this article reviews the current vehicle operating system.Firstly,we outline two types of vehicle safety issues.Secondly,we outline the characteristics of vehicle operating systems and discuss the main methods of vehicle operating systems to maintain vehicle safety.Thirdly,we introduced the changes in the electronic and electrical systems of next generation of automobiles,and from the perspective of the safety of the vehicle,we believe that these changes make it difficult for the current vehicle operating system to maintain the safety.Finally,we point out the possible research directions for vehicle operating systems.
