Abstract: | In this paper, a mathematical model on the connecting hose of a one-stage Oxford split-Stirling cryocooler has been made to simulate its dynamic performance. A set of governing equations has been discretized by method of characteristics and dissolved by a numerical method. The present paper emphasizes the validation of this model against experimental results of pressure phase lag and amplitude attenuation through connecting hose, and cooler performance vs. connecting hose in different dimensions. The comparison shows acceptable agreement between the simulation and experimental results. |
