Abstract:By 2060,China will strive to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality,which will have a profound impact on China’s energy and economic system.Carbon capture,utilization and storage(CCUS),as a technology with large-scale emission reduction potential,has been widely developed all over the world.It is an indispensable important technology to achieve the goal of carbon neutrality.Meanwhile,it helps to build a more resilient energy system in China.This paper discusses the new situation and demand of carbon capture,utilization and storage development brought by carbon neutrality target,analyzes the development situation and existing challenges of CCUS in China,and puts forward several key tasks that should be focused on now,especially to accelerate the establishment of comprehensive and systematic technical system of CCUS.Moreover,we should explore the development pathway of CCUS in the process of achieving carbon neutrality,and coordinate the development and deployment in energy sector and industrial sector.
