Flash welding technology of crane rail

As the crane rail is usually rolled from U71 Mn steel with high carbon and medium manganese contents,its performance is poor after manual welding,and defects such as cracks and slag inclusion are easy to occur at weld joints,so it is necessary to improve the traditional manual welding technology on rails.Flash welding,a common rail welding technology for high-speed trains,is introduced.As a mature rail welding technology,it is characterized by fast welding speed and stable joint quality.The application of flash welding in crane rail welding is studied,and welding tests have been carried out on several rails,and very promising results have been obtained.Several crane rails have been successfully welded,and documents on detailed rail flash welding technology have been prepared.Application of this technology is of great significance to improve welding quality and welding efficiency of crane rails.
