| Abstract: | Investment m infrastructure has long been an important key to economic development of a country or region. With the development of broadband telecom services, the fiber optic connecitivity to the global Communications network has become increas;ngly significant. First the existing submarine fiber optic netvvork and the means for China and the Asia Pacific region to connect to it are described and then the netvvork planning prin-ciples to guarantee a robust and reliable international network are outlined. |
