图像和视频编码技术的发展

摘    要:本文展望图像和视频编码的趋势和未来,概括过去40年和当前最先进的图像和视频编码技术,在JPEG,JPEG2000,MPEG-1/2/4,H.261/3/4标准中对这些编码算法进行讨论。介绍了H.264标准在视频通信中针对差错恢复能力和网络适应性等方面应用的关键技术。

Development in Image and Video Coding Technology

Abstract:The objective of the paper is to provide an overview on recent development in image and video coding technology.Here,the paper review the rapid development in the field during the past 40 years and outline current state-of-the art strategies for coding images and videos.These and other coding algorithms are discussed in the context of international JPEG,JPEG 2000,MPEG-1/2/4,and H.261/3/4 standards.At last,Some key aspects which are for robustness to data errors/losses and flexibility for operation over a variety of network environments in H.264 Video Coding Standard are introduced in this paper.
