PROPERTY AND INJECTION MOULDING OF STYRENE/BUTADIENE COPOLYMER

Styrene/butadiene copolymer (K -resin) is a kind of unformed polymer polymerized by styrene and butadienewith high transparency, good glossary and machining property, which can be processed in the common injection moulding machine. However, it is easy to degrade under high temperature, thus will affect the mechanical property and surface quality of the products, which should be considered during the process of the equipment choosing, mould designing, technical parameter setting and the defaults avoiding of the products. It is proved that the products with high glossary, transparency and smooth surface can be produced by choosing a proper injection moulding technology. The property and the injection moulding technology of K - resin are introduced as well as the choice of the equipment and the design of products and moulds in practical application and the ways to solve the common defaults during the operation.
