| Abstract: | A new enhanced primary treatment process with chemical-biological flocculation was adopted in Shanghai Zhuyuan No.1 Wastewater Treatment Plant. The design method and features of the main structures such as mixing tank, chemical-biological flocculation tank, and horizontal-flow sedimentation tank, main equipment and parameters control were introduced in detail. The process was characterized by steady operation, resistance to shock loading, and low operating cost. |
