| Abstract: | The stress-optie law for arthotropic materials proposed by Sanrpsou showed that the compouents of birefringence produced by each stress comaonent in the field of polarization Were combined with one another according to the law of Mohr's circle, This law has been verified by photoelastic experiment but only in the case of uniaxial stresses. |
