实现信源信道联合编码的一种策略

在传统通信系统中,信源压缩(信源编码)与传输中抵抗信道损耗的保护技术(信道编码)是分别考虑的.但是,在实际中发现,用某种“特定”方法连接起来的最优信源编码器和信道编码器,并不一定能构成最佳通信系统.因此出现了实现通信系统整体优化的“信源信道联合编码”理论.本文给出的实现信源信道联合编码的策略是:编码部分采用类似于DPCM预测编码方式的联合编码器,而译码部分是一个类似于Viterbi译码方式的联合编译码器.实验结果证明,在高噪信道条件下,使用这种方法进行图像传输,性能改善效果非常明显.

A Strategies for Joint Source-channel Coding

In most communication systems, the source coding and channel coding are treated separately. But , it may be not a optimum system using an "ad hoc" method to combine the optimum source with channel coders in practical communication systems.So we raised a strategies for joint source channel coding:the coding is similar to DPCM prediction coding method, the decoding is similar to Viterbi decoding method. Under the Condition of high noise channel,the property is satisfactory using this method.
