Abstract:The new progress in research on grinding non-conductive ceramics at home and abroad is summarized.The fundamental principles and characteristics of precision even super-precision grinding and non-traditional machining combined grinding technique,such as ductile regime grinding,semi-ductile regime grinding,electrolytic in-process dressing grinding,electrochemical in-process controlled dressing grinding,ultrasonic assisted grinding,laser assisted grinding,machine electrical discharge-electrolysis combined grinding,electrical discharge grinding and so on are analyzed and generalized.A new technique for grinding non-conductive ceramics,which is discharge-induced controllable ablation combined grinding is presented.Its principle,key technology and characteristics are also introduced.
