Abstract: | The influence of the nature and structure of chemically active additives on the chemical modification temperature of friction surfaces was investigated using a KT-2 four-ball machine with various metal and lubricant-additives combination. A synergistic effect of detergent and antioxidant additives on the critical and chemical modification temperature of oil was found. |
