小湾水电站在云南"西电东送"和经济发展中的作用

小湾水电站装机容量为4200Mw，为具有多年调节能力的“龙头水库”，发电效益巨大，对下游梯级电站补偿效益显著，通过系统跨流域联合优化调度，将极大地改善云南省水电站群的调节性能。其建设对于满足云南省“十二五”期间国民经济持续发展的用电需求，促进国家“西电东送”战略的实施，实现云南省电源结构的战略性调整，加快少数民族地区经济发展，使云南省由资源大省转变为经济强省具有不可替代的作用。

The important role of Xiaowan Hydropower Station in the power transmission from west to east and the development of economy in Yunnan Province

Xiaowan Hydropower Station has a total installed capacity of 4 200 MW. It will bring about not only enormous power generation benefits but also remarkable compensation benefits to its downstream cascade hydropower stations. The regulation performance of hydropower stations in Yunnan Province could be greatly improved through joint optimal dispatching of the inter-basin power systems. The construction of the Xiaowan Hydropower Station will play an important role in meeting the power demands for the sustainable development of the national economy during the 12th Five-Year Plan period in Yunnan Province, in promoting implementation of the national program of power transmission from west to east, in carrying out the strategic readjustment of the structure of power sources in Yunnan Province, in speeding up the economic development in the regions of ethnic minorities, and in building Yunnan Province with abundant resources into a strong economical province.
