Abstract:In today of society information development, the digital video monitoring as an important element of security system has been the important field in the video monitoring. The system is composed of network camera, monitoring client and network equipment and designed with C/S architecture. The processor FICS120 with MPEG-4 hardware compression function is used to design the network camera, and the design process and composition of network camera hardware and software is introduced in detail in this paper. The network equipment is the campus Intranet, in the meanwhile, as the test medium. In the future development, more and more network video technology will be in practical application, the system after function extension can be used in many fields, such as remote conference, video on demand, telemedicine, video telephony and other services.
