Abstract:A new method to calculate the settlement of composite pile foundation is proposed in the paper;it is called the final stress method It is based on authors previous work to propose the method At same time,the stress adjusting method,the compressive area decomposition method,and the stress?settlement decomposition method are inclucled in the study Two examples are given for illustration The comparative results indicate that the proposed method is feasible and easily to use in the engineering design Some economical results can be got from the proposed method
