Abstract: | Summary The powder metallurgy method was used for preparing alloys of the rare-earth metals (R) with manganese or iron, containing 79.2 at.% of the latter elements. The existence in these alloys of the compounds R6Mn23 (R = Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tu, Lu, Y) and R6Fe23 (R = Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tu, Yb, Lu, Y), having structures of the Th6Mn23 type was established or confirmed (the lattice constants are listed in Table 2). |
