摘    要:分析了DEF与SMF之间熔接损耗过大的原因,提出了一种控制纤芯中折射率掺杂物受热扩散、降低EDF与SMF间的模块失配,从而降低熔接损耗的方法,利用普通商售熔接机多次放电熔接,所得熔接损耗小于0.7dB。

Abstract:The reason of high fusion loss between erbium doped fiber (EDF) and single mode fiber (SMF) is analyzed. A method of reducing the fusion loss and the mode spot size offsets between EDF and SMF by controlled thermal diffusion of the index dopants of the index dopants of fiber cores is described. With a normal commercial fiber fusion, a fusion loss of 0.7 dB is obtained.
