Ternary silicides Pu2T3Si5, T  Fe, Tc, Re

Abstract:The crystal structures of Pu2T3Si5 with T  Fe, Tc, Re synthesized from the elements by argon arc melting have been characterized from X-ray powder diffraction data. All compounds crystallize with the Sc2Fe3Si5 type. The distribution of the various structure types An(RE)2T3Si5 was plotted for An  U, Np, Pu and T  Mn to Pt. The crystallographic relationships among these structure types is discussed.
