| Abstract: | Due to the excellent performance in all relevant areas,aluminum pigments have obtained a wide range of applications,but are greatly limited by their poor anti-corrosion property.An uniform and compact encapsulated coating can be obtained with reactive silica-coated aluminum pigments with good corrosion resistance,leading to a research hotspot gradually in recent years.An introduction was given of the surface properties of aluminum pigments and the coating methods using SiO2,such as inorganic silica encapsulation and organic-inorganic hybrid encapsulation.The research status of aluminum pigments coated by SiO2 with different catalysts was summarized. |
