Self-induced polarization change of 1.06μm laser beam in glasses |

| Abstract: | We report here the observation of self-induced polarization change in some optical glasses and laser glasses with a Nd3+-glass TEM00 mode laser beam. The nonlinear optical susceptibilities C1221 of these glasses have been measured experimentally and their nonlinear refractive indices n2 have been determined. |
