| Abstract: | VMEbus is designed for use in a wide range of systems, from the simple to the complex. The paper describes the design of VMEbus, its bus arbitration scheme, interrupts, and address and data widths. Some examples of VME systems are given, including simple systems, distributed processing systems, and systems upgraded to include 32-bit microprocessors. |
