| Abstract: | Some deficiencies of the performance-based design and assessment in engineering practice was analyzed.It was emphasized that the performance-based design and assessment should be applied within certain limitations so as to avoid fire sefety hazards.It was also emphasized that those fire safety experts with insight should pay much attention to the research and application of performance-based design and assessment so as to ensure that it can be developed and applied in a healthy way. |
