| Abstract: | This paper presents a case-knowledge based model of product family design representing by improved hierarchical decomposition tree. It also describes a main frame of rapid design system and gives the store structure and retrieving strategy of case and knowledge. Moreover, the paper gives an example of elevator design using this method, which has a good result. |
