Abstract:The paper systematically introduced the advantages of supercritical fluid extraction(SFE)technology for extraction of active constituents from Chinese traditional medicine,summarized some extraction processes that have been industrialized,specially stressed development prospects of SFE for extraction of water soluble active constituents from Chinese traditional medicine.
