Analysis of the Si Content in Hot Metal for Steel Making

The higher Si content of molten iron in converter steel-making will influence the result of dephosphorization,and increase the quentity of slag former,but Si content also can accommodate the alkalinity of furnace slag,so Si content in molten iron are not too high nor too low,the Si content requred in the molten iron can be calculated according to the calculated volume of slag necessary for molten iron dephosphorization purpose,it gives more theory evidence,and increaces quality of molten iron.
