近代商人与民国旅游事业的发展

民国时期，以张謇、荣德生、荣宗敬和陈光甫为代表的近代商人，全力营造地方社会环境．大力保护、修复各种旅游资源，规划建设旅游风景区，配套旅游服务相关设施，多角度、多层次地涉足近代旅游事业，推动了近代中国旅游事业的现代化演变。近代商人发展旅游事业，既是其对近代旅游理性认识的现实反映，也是其爱国爱乡、学习西方、发展公益的思想境界和人格追求的具体表现。
