LIGHT SCATTERING STUDIES OF POLYMER BLENDS UNDER SHEAR FLOW FIELD

In this article, the theory of light scattering and the application of it in polymer blends under shear flow field were reviewed. Polymer structure such as non uniform parameter, orientation, particle diameter and phase separation mechanism and phase diagram of multi component systems can be obtainid by using this technique. The advance of light scattering studies of polymer blends under shear flow filed was briefly discussed as well. It has shown that shear flow can induce miscibility and phase separation under different conditions. The phase pattern evolution of polymer blends under different shear history was discussed. Further studies of the rules of phase change under shear flow field and the effect of block and graft copolymers were required.
