| Abstract: | The E 65/E 75 generation of Rieter combers have made it technically and technologically possible to move to a new dimension in the high-performance combing of cotton. Nip rates of 450 nips/min are now possible in mill operations for quality yarns. This article describes the specific features of the generation of combers including the technological processes and the resulting characteristics of the combed sliver and the resulting positive impact on downstream processes. |
