Abstract: | Both intrinsic and extrinsic stacking faults are observed on {111} in well annealed cubic TiCo2+x alloys (x = ?0.06, 0.0, 0.13). The faults are more profuse in the stoichiometric phase than in the off-stoichiometric ones. The intrinsic/extrinsic fault populations range from 61 pct extrinsic in the nominally stoichiometric alloy to 67 pct intrinsic in the cobalt-deficient alloy. Partial dislocations bounding all faults studied in CTEM contrast experiments are Shockley-type (). |
