| Abstract: | In this paper,the acceptable level of welding residual stresses in avaluation of the safety to prevent the brittle fracture of PWR pressure vesselsis shown by the basis of analysis and summary data relating to weldingresidual stress measurements and ealculations.The method of determininglinear elastic stress intensity factor of a surface flaw in PWR pressurevessels is given in the meantime. |
