This article describes the gasoline and diesel oil standards adopted in the United States,Europe and Japan and compares them with the Chinese standards.The article also predicts the global trends in the development of oil product standards.Specifically,according to the article,the major trends in the development of auto gasoline standards worldwide are lower sulfur content,olefin content,aromatic hydrocarbon content and benzene content and higher octane value and those in the development of auto diesel standards are lower sulfur content,aromatic hydrocarbon content and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon content and higher cetane value.While using cleaner oil products is becoming a global trend,the article puts forth some suggestions on China＂ s clean oil product campaign including spreading the use of clean-burning oil products in stages ,step by step and area by area,optimizing refinery structures,strengthening governmental guidance and offering tax and loan incentives to refineries that produce clean oil products.
