双波长特性在通信光缆维护中的应用

摘    要:单模光纤的双波长特性目前主要用于对光纤拉丝工艺检测,如将之用于光缆维护测试,就可减少日常光缆维修的工作量.为此,针对困扰当前光缆维修的三个难题(主干光缆高损耗、接头盒进水、光纤对号)进行了探讨.

Abstract:Double wavelength characteristic is an intrinsic characteristic of single mode fibers. At present it is mainly used in checking fiber drawing process. If it is used to test fiber optic cables in maintenance, the maintenance work load can be decreased. Consequently, the three difficult problems, i. e. high loss in trunk cables, water ingression into closures, and number match of the fibers, are discussed.
