| Abstract: | The structure,mechanism and characteristic of the new seal is introduced and the failure reason for the mechanical floating ring seal is analyzed.The dry gas seal is applied on the natural gas compressor of 100kt/a methanol device of Sinopec Sichuan Vinylon Works.It is an alternative of the home-made combined floating ring seal.The design life of the primary seal is no more than a year;after improvement,the seal has already worked 37 months without leaking. |
