Abstract: | The PCT degradation behaviours of LaNi 5, LaNi 4.7 Al 0.3 and MINi 4.5 Al 0.5 alloys were investigated by measuring the difference between pure hydrogen and hydrogen containing CO. PCT plateaus are inclined after poisoning of all these alloys. LaNi 5 has no plateau. The plateaus of LaNi 4.7 Al 0.3 and MINi 4.5 Al 0.5 alloys are both lifted and inclined, the width of PCT cuve are shorter, and the absorbed hydrogen content is reduced drastically after poisoning. The resistance of alumiium substituted alloys to CO is therefore improved. |
