Abstract:Catalytic membranes were prepared Their catalytic properties and stability were determinded by testing it with acetic acid and nbutyl alcohol mixture The results showed that both catalytic properties and stability were good Both IR spectra and XPS of the catalytic membrane showed that Zr(SO4)2 could bind part of the hydroxyl groups carried by the poly (vinyl alcohol) chains The catalytic membranes were proved to possess good separative properties by pervaporation of acetic acid and nbutyl alcohol mixture
