| Abstract: | This article reviews the impact of osteoporosis on quality of life. It defines specific impairments and suggests how best to minimize the impact of osteoporosis on patients' daily lives. Specific issues such as a spinal deformity, limitations on activities of daily living, pain, functionality, social impairment, self esteem, and depression also are addressed. Finally, a multidisciplinary team approach to osteoporosis is advocated. |
