Heat Exchange of Rock and Filling Masses in Kimberlite Mining

Abstract:Heat interaction between rock and solidifying filling masses is considered in underground kimberlite mining in kriolite zone. The mathematical model is developed for the heat exchange process with allowance for the moisture phase transfer. The influence exerted by cement consumption and geometrical dimensions of mine workings on the intensity of rock mass thawing around them are investigated.
