| Abstract: | In this paper, four methods for the calculation of the productivity of horizontal wells were reviewed, and the modified equations were given for the horizontal wells with anisotropy of reservoir permeability, well eccentricity and formation damage. The factors affecting the productivity, such as reservoir thickness, horizontal well length, the aniosotropy index of reservoir permeability, well eccentricity and formation damage on the productivity of horizontal wells were quantitatively analyzed by means of some calculation examples and field data. It is shown from the analyzed results that formation damage is generally the major factor affecting the productivity of horizontal wells. However, other influence factors should not be ignored in many cases. |
