Abstract:
Working groups of the European Standards Organization (CEN) and the International Standards Organization (ISO) are currently jointly engaged in drafting a standard entitled ‘Assessment of the performance of instruments used for the health-related sampling of particles in workplaces’. This report describes the main requirements of the current draft standard and discusses aspects of its implementation. The author is the secretary of both the CEN and ISO working groups, and the draft standard described is the result of the collective work of the members of those working groups.
