数据库管理系统是管理信息系统的核心。如果一个数据库表信息积累到上百万条记录时，全表扫描一次往往需要数十分钟，导致所开发出来的系统效率低下，让用户无法忍受。由此可见网络数据库优化的重要性。有许多因素会影响数据库的性能表现，本文以SQL Server数据库为例，从逻辑数据库设计、查询语句设计和索引设计方面探讨了如何进行网络数据库优化，从应用的角度提出了优化的原则和方法，从而提高管理信息系统的效率。

The Key of Network Database Optimization

Database management system is the core of management information system. The entire table scanning usually needs dozens of minutes if a database table includes millions of records, which will cause the decrease of effciency of the developed system. The users cannot bear that, which shows the importance of network database optimization. There are many factors that can affect the performance of database. This paper takes SQL Server as an example, introduces how to optimize the network database from the logical database design, query design and index design aspects. The paper also proposes some principles and methods of optimization from the application point of view to improve the efficiency of management information system.
